Garth Brooks and Companions

Garth came to The Best Little Cat House in PA in February 2002. He had been dropped off at an ASPCA center in New York because of an illness called Cardiomyopathy for which there is no cure. http://members.aol.com/jchinitz/hcm/  He is absolutely the sweetest cat you can imagine, Garth is a very, very laid back cat, nothing seems to disturb his leisurely way of life. I’m not sure whether he knows he has a heart condition and that’s why he’s so mellow or whether it’s just how he is. Garth’s companions and best buddies are Georgie, Alaska, and little blind Amber. They all hang out together in the wildlife room. Georgie has brain damage, he’s fine 99% of the time but goes absolutely mental when he sees Tiger! Alaska was badly beaten up when she arrived but is now the Snow White of the feline world. Amber is blind and brain damaged after being deprived of oxygen for 8 minutes during surgery. She’s a sweetie too, very loving little cat, finds her way around very well so long as you don’t pick her up and move her. We love them all!
