We begin with a tour of the entire shelter, so you can see how everything works and the space your kitty will have. We take time to answer all of your questions and make sure our hospice is a good fit—for you, for your cat, and for us. After that, you’ll be able to watch as your kitty is released from their carrier and begins to explore the shelter.

When a cat comes into our care, it’s understood that every effort has already been made to find a private home, unless hospice was the first and best choice. Once a cat arrives here, they become part of our family. As a hospice, our focus is on allowing them to settle in, feel safe, and live their remaining time in comfort and peace, without the disruption of another transition at the end of life.
-
There is never a fee to bring a cat into our care. If you’re able, donations are always appreciated—whether monetary or items from our wishlist—but they are entirely optional.
-
We’re not able to offer visits. We are 100% volunteer-run, and caring for the cats takes up the majority of each day. Our time and energy need to stay focused on their comfort and care.
If you’re struggling with the idea of surrendering your cat, we’re always glad to talk with you and share suggestions or ideas that may help make it possible to keep your cat at home. And to clarify, we are not a boarding facility.
-
Yes. You’re welcome to call at any time to check on your cat. If you wish, we can also notify you when your cat passes away—unless you prefer not to receive that call.

There are several meaningful ways to support our work: you can donate financially, contribute items from our wishlist, or reach out to ask about volunteer opportunities.
