Life, Love, and Quiet Moments
The photographs on this page reflect everyday life inside our hospice sanctuary — moments of rest, companionship, curiosity, and comfort. Some of the cats you see are still with us. Others were once here, held and loved for as long as they needed.
None of these moments are staged.
They are simply real.
Here, every cat is valued for who they are — exactly as they are.
These Are Their Good Days
The cats you see throughout this gallery — those who are with us now and those who were once here — have each been met with comfort, dignity, and care.
Some lived with serious illness.
Some with disability.
Some with the gentle weight of age.
Hospice care is about presence. It is about safety, respect, and the freedom to live each day in the way that feels best to them. What matters most is not the length of time a cat spends with us, but the quality of that time — days shaped by soft places to sleep, nourishing meals, thoughtful medical support, and the quiet joy of belonging.
A number of the cats you see here are feral. For them, hospice care means safety without expectations. They are never asked to socialize, perform, or change who they are. There is no unauthorized touching — every interaction happens on the cat’s terms, or not at all.
If a cat wishes to remain distant, quiet, or unseen, that choice is fully respected.
Here, even feral cats are allowed to simply be — protected, cared for, and left in peace.
As a veterinarian once shared with us, “Quality is for them. Quantity is for us.”
Here, we choose quality — every day, for every cat.
Thank You for Looking Closely
By taking the time to truly see these cats, you honor their lives.
Whether a cat stayed with us for years or only a short while, each one mattered deeply — and each one was loved until the very end. If a photo makes you smile, pause, or feel something settle softly in your chest, that is the heart of hospice care: presence, compassion, and love without conditions.
If you’d like to help make moments like these possible for more cats, we invite you to explore ways to support the sanctuary.
